The tragic end of an Indian International student, who fell in wrong company.

A young man who left Kerala when he was 19 for Melbourne, was found dead last year.

According to The Age the 24-year-old man was struck in the head at his home in Melbourne’s north on Saturday, October 11, 2014. It seems like he’s had a massive life change. He was 19 years of age, perhaps impressionable, comes here, gets involved with the wrong crowd and his life goes off the rails and ends up in his own murder, which is a terrible situation.

Without being judgmental, I feel saddened by this news and hope a credible government organization both in India and Australia is there to prevent such re-occurrence and determine what factors contribute for international student to take such drastic steps.

This is clearly a violence related to drugs and irrespective of what factors might have contributed to this, such incidents need to be picked up in its early stages.

Inspector Bailey said the 24 years old had only one encounter with police before his murder and that was a routine street check in Richmond. It’s really hard finding out that background about him, to understand what happened to him that changed him from a student to someone involved in the drug trade.

He further urging anyone with information about his background, addresses he may have attended, friends and/or associates, or places of employment to please make contact with police.”People with information are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
